A magnificent pair of antique French gilt bronze-mounted onyx vases, dating to the late 19th century (ca. 1870–1890). Crafted in the Rococo revival style, these urns feature finely hand-cast gilt bronze mounts with scrolling floral motifs, decorative handles, and ornate bases.
The bodies are made of richly veined natural onyx stone in soft cream and caramel tones, giving them a luxurious presence. Each vase is individually hand-crafted, with slight variations in the mounts and bases that confirm traditional casting techniques rather than later mass production.
